Job Summary
Sr. Process Engineer ? modular process units Our Client Company has an immediate need for a Sr. Process Engineer to develop hydrocarbon and caustic processing solutions for treating H2S, Mercaptans, and other impurities in gas and liquid hydrocarbon streams. Job Responsibilities: 1.) Completion of the basic engineering in the form of an engineering package for caustic and hydrocarbon treaters. Typically, this includes the following: heat and material balances, PFD and P&ID development, equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, instrument specifications. 2.) Review and approve PFDs. P&IDs, equipment/instrument data sheets and basic engineering package discussion sections initiated by other engineers. 3.) Review and, when appropriate, incorporate client comments and requests to the engineering packages. 4.) Provide sales support by developing preliminary process design; including budgetary and fixed price quotes. 5.) Attend detailed engineering 3D Model reviews. 6.) Walk-down in-house modules/skids and provide input to the punchlist. 7.) Service units which are in operation to solve technical difficulties encountered by the customer. Includes visits to operation site and gathering and evaluating pertinent data. 8.) Review equipment and instrument RFQ?s on modular and retrofit projects. 9.) Support the detailed engineering phase through datasheet and drawing updates. 10.) Provide technical support, training and assistance for new or less experienced engineers. 11.) Participate in project kick-off meetings, engineering review meetings; such as HAZOP at client locations. 12.) Review customer specifications to be incorporated in the engineering design. 13.) Any other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Salary Range: $85k - $125k 1.) B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. 2.) 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer working in refinery or E&C company. 3.) Process engineering background in refinery environment with an understanding of PFD?s, P&ID?s, equipment and instruments sizing, and development of basic engineering packages. 4.) Process simulation experience is required. 5.) Proficient user of Promax, ChemCad, Microsoft. 6.) Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). 7.) Ability to gather data, set priorities, and meet deadlines. 8.) Able to work efficiently in a team environment. 9.) Oracle experience is desirable.
