The warehouseman person will receive and put away incoming merchandise, process customer orders, and deliver customer orders. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and have a positive attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Pull items from stock to fill customer orders. 2. Obtains merchandise from bins or shelves by hand or by using a forklift/man lift. 3. Responsible for quality control to ensure that items match customer orders in regards to unit of measure, quantity, and description and to ensure that no damaged product is sent out. 4. Package products for shipping. 5. Load and unload trucks. 6. Receive incoming merchandise. 7. Put up incoming stock. 8. Operate within standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. 9. Drive company car or pickup truck for merchandise delivery to customers.(only when hired onto their payroll) 10. Communicate with customers and personnel. 11. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. PC skills (e.g., keyboard, familiar with MS Word and Excel) helpful. 3. Commitment to accuracy and productivity. 4. Will be required to learn to operate forklift or man lift. 5. A valid driver?s license is required. 6. TWIC card is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work involves prolonged standing, walking, and bending. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and steel-toed work boots.
