Have you been a Packaging Machine Operator? Our local Houston Client is in need of a Packaging Machine Operator. This person will control and operate equipment associated with the packaging of resin products, maintains the integrity of the pastillator. The hours for this position are 4 on 4 off between days and nights; 12 hour shifts. Job Summary
Job: Packaging Machine Operator Jobing Description Position Summary: Controls and operates equipment associated with the packaging of resin products, maintains the integrity of the pastillator. Essential Functions: Packages materials to fulfill customer orders, ensuring that packaging meets specifications, while minimizing loss of material; Tests R&B, as required by the Quality Control Plan; Records production and quality information on the production report; Operates package machine, super sack machine, and palletizer; Provides quality service and assistance to all customers, potential customers, employees, vendors, and the community on an ongoing basis; Complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety policies and regulations and corporate guidelines on business ethics. Back up/Cross Training Job Functions: Assists Outside Operators and Material Handler, as necessary to ensure overall plant performance. Supervisory Relationship and Resposibility: Receives general instructions on routine work from the Lead Operators; Receives detailed instructions on new assignments from the Lead Operators or any manager. Skills/ Requirements Skills: Organizational and prioritization skills for efficient task completion; Reliable decision-making skills Knowledge: General operation of all auxiliary equipment associated with the Packaging machine Operator job functions (e.g. pastillator, super sack machine, palletizer, etc.); Safety procedures in the handling of all hazardous materials; Safety regulations, safe work practices and the safety equipment related to the work; employee safety requirements and industrial hygiene. Abilities: Operate a computer and peripheral equipment; Manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently and efficiently; Self starter; maintain confidences within the normal courses of business; Organize and prioritize work; Work safely. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Compute rate, ration, and percent. Certified Forklift (Sitdown) Important Notes Must have knowledge and able to use/operate a Computer/peripheral equipment, calculator, telephone, pastillator, super sack machine, palletizer, scales, hand tools, and a variety of other manufacturing equipment. This position requires: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Manufacturing experience helpful, but not required.
